After a week off, our song discussion picks back up with the lead track from E2E, Celebrity. This was always a favorite of mine off this album. What is your take on this song? Was it a good lead song? We look forward to hearing your thoughts!

I love the chorus. I always interpreted this song as a shot at our (society's, whoever's) adoration of celebs, and the celebs who need/want/demand that adoration. I could be 100% wrong, but I hear this song and think of those vacuous "starlets" who are famous for being famous. "I will get in first, and I will get in free" makes me smirk every time--it seems so in-your-face and entitled. That this band is so down-to-earth and good to its fans is a complete 180 from this song, which just makes it even better. Maybe Katie was a more likely album opener for E2E for me though.
