We are back on the song discussions this week with a selection from Stunt, and the much-discussed When You Dream. People either love this one and don't. What do you think?

I've gone back and forth many many times on this song. At first, I didn't get it. Then eventually, I got into Jim's bass riff at the beginning and I totally got it. Then I had a kid and ended up singing it nightly for nearly 3 straight friggin' years. After that, I'm okay if I don't hear it again....except for that cool bass riff at the beginning!

Like Sandimas, the having a child thing really made my ears perk up to this song. I loved it briefly and intensely when my first son was born--again, like "Oh NOW I get it." Every so often I get nostalgaic for my boys' babyhoods, and listen to it dreamily.

For me, this song was the moment for me when Kevin really arrived as a band member. He turned what seems a simple heartfelt lullaby into a beautiful sonic dreamscape. It's one of my favourite songs and is reason enough to want to have kids.. :-)
